British Library's new online gallery

This is really very nifty. The British Library now has a neat-o way to enable people to see extremely rare works online in very great detail. These include The Golden Haggadah, Da Vinci's notebook, and Lewis Carroll's hand-written and illustrated manuscript of Alice in Wonderland. It's possible to see an incredible level of detail using this.

Google Secure Access - wassat?

I note that Google may be launching a wi-fi access service. A page called Google Secure Access: Frequently Asked Questions has appeared that offers a client download "to establish a more secure connection while using Google WiFi." (Via InfoWorld)

OMB to project savings of e-gov in next budget

I've been buried in project proposals and kick-offs for a while now but this news via GovExec seemed too good not to post about: OMB plans to project the savings created by e-government programs in next budget. With "conservative" numbers of $5 billion being bandied about, and President Bush saying of the PMA scorecard, "I don't like red. I don't want to have any more red," it seems that there's quite a lot for agencies to live up to.

First, though, can someone please define what an "e-government project" is?
